An Electrical/Electronic Engineer and a fellow of the International Academy of Cards and Payment, with an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School, a strong affinity for business development, product research, IT strategy design and support. With over 7 years of sound IT industry experience and several years of retail banking experience covering technology planning, deployment and management of enterprise-wide infrastructure, Remittances, Retail product sales, Electronic Banking, Product Management and Project Management. With participation ranging from team member to group leadership.

Significant achievement include, managing the implementation of Visa range of card products in a record 3 month time frame, leadership role in UBA’s e-banking infrastructure consolidation, impressive management of a small business group profit center and the repositioning UBA’s Cashfast money transfer and MoneyGram products to achieve industry leadership!

Mike managed the ebanking portfolio of Ecobank Nigeria which covers Credit, Debit and Prepaid card issuing, Channel Acquiring, Mobile Payments, Internet banking, and Alert services for a period. Now, he is preoccupied with building the most successful Mobile Money service in Nigeria and in deed Africa.

Mike has facilitated in courses on remittance and cards for the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management and was a panelist at MSCC’s maiden conference on payments in Egypt and at Visa’s conference on financial inclusion at Cape Town.
