Chiyo Robertson is a senior business journalist and editor with more than 20 years’ experience at international broadcasters including BBC and Sky News.
Chiyo’s global experience includes reporting from BBC’s Asia hub in Singapore, documentary-making in the US, leading World Economic Forum broadcasts in Davos, covering major breaking stories including Brexit and the financial crisis and in 2022, training business journalists at BBC’s Nairobi bureau.
She helped shape global business content as editor of BBC World Business TV programmes and launched a Middle East business studio in Dubai.
As a BBC Diversity Champion, Chiyo was part of its award-winning 50:50 Project to improve representation on air and is a mentor at the Media Trust charity.
Chiyo is an experienced moderator and host. Her experience includes the WEF in Davos, COP26 in Glasgow, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development AGM in Marrakech and Roland Garros tournament in Paris.
Chiyo graduated from the University of London with a degree in Medical Biochemistry and recently completed an AI Skills Bootcamp at the University of Huddersfield and Institute of Coding.
